Youth Bible Study Lessons – Bible Story Placemats

This craft works well with any youth Bible study lessons, and parents are known to use them for years.  It requires a laminator, which many churches and “crafty” families possess.

Needed:
•Legal sized sheets of paper, 8.5 x 17 OR
•If you don’t have sheets that big, you can cut out pieces of paper bags that are the large, grocery sized.
•Clear laminating forms for 8.5 x 17 or larger, one for each child.

Before Sunday school class:
1.Write at the top of each student’s sheet the name of the Bible story, such as David fights Goliath.
2.Write at the bottom the date and especially the year, and leave room for the child to sign his or her name.

Instructions:  Have students
1.Draw a picture on the big sheets that depict the Bible story.
2.Add glitter or anything flat that you’ve made available to them.
3.Sign their names near the date and year.

Take all the placemats to the office for lamination, or if you have borrowed a laminator and laminating forms, laminate right there in the classroom.  You can also have places like Staples laminate, though check prices!

Note:  If you do this for four Bible stories a year, each family will have a set of placemats.
