Jesus has told us many times and in many ways that any person who believes in Him will live in heaven with Him after death and have eternal life. While we’re alive he will lead us and guide us through our journey on earth. That’s great news that gives us something to BOUNCE about!

SCRIPTURE BOUNCE
MATERIALS:
One bouncy ball, one large piece of paper or card board. One clock or watch with a second hand.

LEARNING STYLE:
Hands-On

PREPARATION:
The scripture verse should be printed on the blackboard or on a large piece of paper.
For the game, divide the class into two teams. (If the number of children is uneven, one child can play twice.)

OBJECT:
Each child will bounce a ball, saying the scripture in rhythm to his bounces. When he finishes, he will hand the ball to the next member of the team etc. The teacher will time the entire procedure for both teams. The team who finishes in the shortest time wins.

GAME INSTRUCTIONS:
Either demonstrate the scripture or have one child demonstrate so that from the beginning, children are learning the scripture in its bouncy rhythm (which helps memorization).

When the teacher calls “Go!” The first member of the team bounces the ball, saying the scripture to the rhythm.

Answer Key:
Four “rounds” of answers are supplied so you can use the game more than once. You can do two on a Sunday or use it several times during the year.

ROUND #1:
Scripture : Let”¦ love be genuine”¦ hate what is evil, holdfast to what is good; Romans 12 verse 9
ROUND #2:
Scripture: For where your treasure is”¦there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21
ROUND #3:
Scripture: Love is patient; love is kind”¦ does not envy; does not boast. I Corinthians thirteen, 4 and 5
ROUND #4
Scripture: These “¦ three remain”¦ Faith “¦ hope and love, but the greatest is love … 1 Corinthians thirteen, thirteen.
ROUND #5
Scripture: Above “¦ all “¦ love each other deeply; love “¦ covers a multitude of sins”¦ First “¦ Peter 4, verse 8
ROUND #6
Scripture: Whoever does not know “¦ love does not know God, for God is love”¦ First John 4, verse 8

What do you think of the game? Like it? Love it? Would never try it in a million years? Give me some feedback and let me know by leaving a comment in the box below!
