Use this lesson and activity about the story of baby Moses to teach the lesson about God’s love and at the same time make Sunday school fun. Having your two to five year olds engaged in crafts while teaching holds their attention.Sunday School Fun

Bible Story:
Tell the story of baby Moses in a language that this age can understand.  Be sure that it is a simplified version; the verse selection is Exodus 2: 1-10.  There are several picture versions in children’s Bibles that are appropriate.

Discussion:  We are important.
Moses was loved so much, that his mom saved him by putting him in the basket and letting pharaoh’s daughter raise him.  God loves you that much too.  How does God show you that he loves you and wants you to be saved?  How do your families let you know that you are important to them?

Song:
Jesus loves me, this I know;
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong.
They are weak, but He is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
The Bible tells me so.

Verse:
I love Jesus does he know?
Have I ever told him so?
I tell Jesus everyday,
That I love Him when I pray.
Yes, I love Jesus.
Yes, I love Jesus.
Yes, I love Jesus.
I tell him when I pray.

Activity:
On colored paper, write the letters B A B Y M O S E S,  make copies for each student and cut each letter apart.  On another piece of paper, draw an oval shape to look like a basket and make copies of this as well.  Have the students glue the letters in the correct order under the basket and finish coloring the picture by placing a baby in the basket and adding water.
