Sunday School Class Structure – Give Choices

Here are more Sunday school ideas I use when planning my Sunday school class structure; this one works so well with my students.  It shows that you value their choices and respect their judgment but still allows you to maintain control over the lesson.

Sunday School Ideas for Teachers: Give ChoicesSunday School Class Structure

Let your students express their interests by allowing them to choose between different activities that you have planned for your Sunday school class.  All activities should have the same outcome of driving home the lesson you are focusing on for that week, but letting students choose makes them feel like participation in Sunday school is their choice and not the choice of their parents.

Even if you plan on doing all the activities you have planned, ask students which they would rather do first.  You still have control over what your class is doing, but they feel empowered and connected to the activity.
