Coming up with Sunday school activities is an ongoing challenge for Sunday school teachers. Try making T-shirts with your students. It is an excellent source of free advertising and a fun project for any age.
T-shirts will give your students a “uniform” to wear for field trips, church socials, and youth ministry events. Bring fabric paint, stencils, fabric markers, and design books and let the students design their own unique Sunday school shirt! They should include the name of the Sunday school, the child’s name or initials, and any other picture or phrase that the child chooses. Examples can include a cross, a sun, a dove, or any other religious symbol. These shirts will need to dry overnight, so the kids should leave them in class and pick them up the next week. Then, encourage kids to wear them proudly!
