Have you tried using drama with your 9-11 year olds in summer Sunday school? This has been a big hit with my class and gets them involved with the lesson. After the drama activity you will find they are more willing to discuss what they have done while they are doing the art project. Give it a try.
Bible Story:
Have the students read the story of The Twelve Spies from Deuteronomy 1: 19-46.
Activity:
Have the students act the story out.
Art:
Make bookmarks.
Need: Paper
Scissors
Markers or crayons
Precut strips of 2 inches by 8 inches. Have the students depict something important from the Bible story on a bookmark.
Activity:
Have the students write down similarities and differences between a giant and God as a class.
