I have developed plans for Sunday school lessons that teachers can do anytime, anywhere, with just a few common supplies. This project has two Bible verses specially fitted to it. Take the suggestions, use the simple, easy-to-understand instructions, and you will have a ready-made Sunday school class in no time!
Sunday School Lessons Series: “Little Lost Sheep”
Bible passage: Matthew 18:12-13
“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.
OR
Psalm 23
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.”

Sunday School Lessons Craft: Little lamb paper plate craft
Materials: Paper plates, construction paper, crayons/markers, glue/tape, cotton balls
1.Give each student 1 paper plate, black and white construction paper, crayons/markers, and glue.
2.Students should begin by cutting out feet for their sheep. The feet should be about 1 ½ inch long and rounded on one side.
3.Glue the feet to the bottom of the paper plate, so that it looks as if you are seeing the sheep from the side.
4.With the white construction paper, students should cut out a circle for the head. The circle should be about as big as an adult’s fist.
5.With crayons/markers, students should draw a face on their sheep’s head, with an eye, a nose, and a mouth. Remember, we’re looking at the sheep from the side, so you will only need 1 eye, part of the nose, and part of the mouth. See the picture for more details.
6.Students should trace the top part of their thumb on the white construction paper to make an ear for their sheep.
7.Cut out the ear and color the middle pink with crayons/markers.
8.Glue the ear to the head.
9.Glue the head to the paper plate, putting the head on the side, not the top, since we are looking at the sheep from the side.
10.Students should now take cotton balls and pull them slightly so they expand and look less like balls. Don’t pull too hard or the cotton ball will come apart, so make sure it holds together.
11.Glue the cotton balls on the body (the paper plate) so that your sheep has some wool.
12.Glue one stretched-out cotton ball on the head, where it meets the body. This will make everything look connected together. Make sure that you don’t cover up the ear when you glue this last piece on!
