Turn your class into a kids Sunday school place to teach the biblical story where Jesus heals the blind. Drama and discussions are great way to engage your 6-8 year olds and make the lessons meaningful.
Children’s Sunday School Ideas for “Jesus Heals the Blind”
Sunday School Bible Story:
Tell the story of Jesus healing the blind man from Mark 10:46-52. You can use a children’s bible to tell the story or just tell it in such a way that this age group can understand.
Sunday School Drama:
Have the children get into pairs and act this story out. Have them take turns playing the role of Jesus and the blind man.
Sunday School Discussion #1:
Ask the children why Jesus healed the blind man. Ask them if Jesus loves everyone as much as he loved the blind man.
Sunday School Discussion #2:
Ask the children how they show love to their family. Brainstorm with them on other ways that they can show love to their friends and family.
Sunday School Activity:
Give the children paper and crayons or markers. Have them make a valentine type card. On their card have them write, “Jesus loves me.”
