Sunday School Lesson: “Jesus Walks on Water”

Sunday School Lesson Bible Story:
Tell the story of Jesus walking on the water (Matthew 14: 25-31). Either tell this story using a children’s bible or just tell it in a way that this age group can understand.
Sunday School Lesson Drama:
Have the children get into pairs and act this story out. Have each child play both roles, Peter and Jesus.
Sunday School Lesson Discussion:
Talk to the children about why Peter began to sink. Emphasize to them that if they keep their eyes on Jesus, He will keep them safe.
Sunday School Lesson Activity:
Let the children draw a picture of this story on a piece of paper. Then help them write “Keep your eyes on Jesus” on their paper.
