Children’s Church Lesson – Ananias and Sapphria

This children’s church lesson on “Ananias and Sapphria” is great for 9-11 year old Sunday school students.  By including drama and small group activities in your Sunday school lesson, you can reinforce the message of helping others.

Children’s Church Activities for “Ananias and Sapphria” Bible Lesson

Children's Church Lesson

Bible Story:
Have the students read the story of Ananias and Sapphria from Acts 5: 1-11.

Children’s Church Activity:
Give each student a piece of paper with the following word bank and list of scrambled words and have them unscramble them:

Word Bank:  Ananias    Sapphria    money    lied    land    fear

adnl
papriahs
afer
asanian
eonym

Drama:
Act out Peter questioning Sapphria from the story.

Children’s Church Discussion:
Ask the students why we should help others.

Children’s Church Activity:
Have the students get into pairs or small groups and answer the following questions:
-What led Barnabas to help other Christians?
-Why did Ananias and Sapphria give?
-How did Peter feel toward Ananias and Sapphria?
-Can we deceive God?
