Use the discussion suggestions below for your next bible Sunday school class. You will find your 12-14 year olds have some thoughtful ideas for how they are special to Jesus and how to honor Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice for them.
Sunday School Topic: “Special to Jesus

Sunday School Bible Reading:
Have the students take turns reading the following Bible passages:
1st Corinthians 15:3
1st Thessalonians 5:10
1st Peter 3: 15
Have them read until they have read all of the passages. Discuss what they have read so that you can make sure that they have understood the verses.
Sunday School Discussion #1:
Ask the students why Jesus did not come down off of the cross, even though He could have. Ask them why Jesus gave up His life for us.
Sunday School Discussion #2:
Ask the students how we can show Jesus our gratitude for giving up His life for our sins. Have them write down some of the ideas generated on a note card. Encourage them to put the note card somewhere that they will see everyday so that they can remember to show Jesus that they are thankful for His sacrifice.
