Group Bible study is a great way to promote understanding, trust, and a healthy Christian relationship with God.  As you already know, the benefits of attending a group Bible study program are important during your walk with Christ.

As a practicing Christian, you already know the benefit of engaging in fellowship with fellow Christians.  Gathering together not only strengthens our friendships and gives us a safe place to ask questions and reflect on living as a Christian. It strengthens our relationships with Christ as well, because He joins us in all our gatherings in His name.  Meeting together does not always have to involve prayer or study, but it can.

For Christians, a logical beginning point is the New Testament, where we learn about Jesus’ life, His trials, and His teachings.  We see the crucifixion story played out again and again and we can discover what living with Jesus was like.  After reading one gospel, you have the choice to either continue reading the synoptic gospels, move on to the Gospel of John, which is unlike the other three, or continue on to Acts, which chronicles the beginning of the Christian religion and the choices and problems they faced.
