Adult Bible Studies
As Christians, there is no more important text for us to study and appreciate than the Bible. To fully understand it the way it was meant to be understood, there are several things all students should know and do in adult Bible studies.
We will explore how to effectively study the Bible, how the Bible came about, and what Christian responsibilities we have to learn God’s teachings.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Here we have a perfect reason for reading and studying the Bible. We study it because we know it is “God-breathed,” or inspired by God. He led every author of a book in the Bible to write what He wanted His people to know. Because it comes from God, it is holy and deserves study. It also provides us with a great way to correct ourselves.
There is no better way to learn what we are supposed to know about God and being Christian than to study the Bible. Also, the Bible gives us rebuking and correcting, which helps us to see what we have been doing wrong and how to become more Christ-like.
Finally, the Bible gives us training, which equips us with the necessary tools and knowledge to be God’s messenger in the world.
