We memorize scriptures because it is one way to get to know God. We should spend time getting to know Him – seeking His will and understanding His power. Strong winds or “trials” may come and blow so strongly that we may feel God’s Word has blown far away. But it is always near. Let’s use our own blowing power to put God’s Word in order, in this latest game from our Bible games series!
BIBLE GAMES SERIES: “BLOWIN’ IN THE WIND“
BIBLE GAMES MATERIALS NEEDED:
Answer Key, scissors, stop watch
BIBLE GAMES PREPARATION:
Cut each passage of scripture into three-word segments.
BIBLE GAMES OBJECT:
The first student to blow the pieces of paper into the proper order to make the scripture wins.
Put the pieces of paper containing the scripture verse scattered on a table. Give several students copies of the scripture for prompting. Say the scripture verse four or five times with students and then have one or two repeat it back. Make sure to include the verse. Then have students take turns blowing gently at the pieces of scripture until the pieces line up in the proper order. Other students may prompt as to what piece comes next.
Five “rounds” of answers are supplied so the game can be used more than once. You can do two on a Sunday or use it several times during the year. Cut each line separately:
Behold, I am coming quickly, and my reward is with Me, to give to every man according to what he has done .Revelation 22:12
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6:34-36
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. Psalm 121:2-4
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
