Have you tried using drama with your 9-11 year olds in summer Sunday school?  These Sunday school activities have been a big hit with my class and gets them involved with the lesson.  After the drama activity you will find they are more willing to discuss what they have done while they are participating in the art project.  Give it a try!

Sunday School Activities: “The Twelve Spies”

Summer Sunday School

Bible Story:
Have the students read the story of The Twelve Spies from Deuteronomy 1: 19-46.

Activity 1:
Have the students act the story out.

Art:
Make bookmarks.

Need:  Paper
Scissors
Markers or crayons

Pre-cut strips of 2 inches by 8 inches. Have the students depict something important from the Bible story on a bookmark.

Activity 2:
Have the students write down similarities and differences between a giant and God as a class.

What did you think of these Sunday school activities?  Will you be trying them with your students?  Feel free to share your thoughts below!  And don’t forget to Follow Me on Twitter, where I will share more great Sunday school activities and ideas!
