Jesus, in his teachings, makes it very clear that God loves us as a father loves his child. He is always there for us and his love is unconditional. God is love and He wants us to love each other. One way we can do that is by applauding each others achievements. Let’s each learn a scripture and then take the spotlight.

Spotlight On You!
Flashlight, candy prizes (optional)

Each child should be able to recite the scripture when the spotlight is on him.

Read the scripture. Have the students repeat it four or five times until words start to flow together. Don’t forget to include the verse!

Turn off the lights and make the room as dark as possible. Have the children sit a circle. When the teacher shines the spotlight on a child, they stand and say the scripture including its location. Reward with candy (optional) to every student who says it correctly.
