chalkboard easter egg decoration idea

In this beautiful Easter egg craft, we are going to create chalkboard easter eggs where we can write messages or draw pictures that show what Easter means to us. With just some hard boiled eggs, tape and chalkboard paint, you’ll have a fun new tradition and create valuable memories with your children.

“He Is Risen” & a Chalkboard Easter Egg Craft

Materials:

– Hard-boiled eggs

– Masking Tape

– Chalkboard Paint

– Exacto Knife or Razor

– Chalk

Instructions:

1.  Boil the eggs, dry and let cool completely.

2.  Cover the egg with masking tape.

3.  With the exacto knife or razor, cut a circle through the tape to create a window that is the shape you want your chalkboard surface to be.  Be careful not to cut through the egg shell underneath.

4.  Peel off only the tape inside the area you cut, exposing the egg shell underneath, in the desired shape.

5.  Apply the chalkboard paint to the exposed egg shell and let dry.

6. When the pain is dry, remove all of the tape from the eggs.

7.  With chalk, write or draw your own personal messages or artwork on each egg.

Conclusion:

Easter holds the keys to our faith, because it celebrates the death and resurrection of Christ. The Apostle Paul captures it well in 1 Corinthians 15:14, “”¦ if Christ has not been
raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.” As we celebrate Easter, we are reminded about the wonder of our faith. We are reminded of the miracle that is Jesus’ resurrection. This miracle of Christ is what makes our religion unique.

Easter Song: He is Risen

Tune: This Little Light

1. How the world did mourn
On that ear-ly Eas-ter morn
But the stone was rolled a-way
And an an-gel came to say.
He is risen, he is risen, he is risen.

2. When they laid him in the tomb
Their hearts were filled with gloom.
For they thought that he was dead,
Un-til the an-gel said,
He is risen, he is risen, he is risen.

3. Our Lord is with us still,
And bids us do his will
And from his home a-bove,
He show-ers us with love.
He is risen, he is risen, he is risen.

4. And though he did de-part,
He still lives in our heart.
He’s with us ev-ery day,
And al-ways guides our way.
He is risen, he is risen, he is risen.
